What is the Difference Between a Residence and a College of Excellence?

Camplus residences offer comfortable living spaces and high-quality residential services for university students. Accommodation options vary from studios to single and double rooms, with or without a private bathroom. Some residences are divided into apartments to provide more independent living arrangements.

Colleges of Excellence, on the other hand, are institutions recognized by the Ministry of University and Research and are part of the Conference of Excellence University Colleges (CCUM). In addition to all-inclusive residential services, they offer supplementary academic activities and additional services such as tutoring and career guidance.

Admission to Colleges of Excellence is based on a selection process requiring specific academic qualifications.

What Are Ministry-Awarded Residences? How Do They Differ from Camplus Residences Without a Selection Process and from Colleges of Excellence?

Ministry-awarded residences are managed by Camplus but funded by the Ministry of University and Research under national initiatives such as the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). Places in these residences are assigned through a competitive selection process based on merit rankings.

These residences differ from Colleges of Excellence, both in terms of access requirements and residential services, as they do not include educational activities, academic support, or career guidance.

Residences without a selection process, on the other hand, do not require an application process for admission and do not offer subsidized rates—except in specific cases, such as renewals or agreements between Camplus and institutions like universities.

Can I Stay at Camplus for a Short Period?
